Pada postingan saya yg lalu, skripsi saya distilasi menggunakan pemanas microwave, disini akan dikorek alasan pemakainya dan dibandingkan dg pemanasan heater biasa.
Microwave (gelombang mikro) adalah salah satu gelombang elektromagnetik yang mempunyai frekuensi
2,45 GHz dengan panjang gelombang 1 mm - 1 m. Microwave adalah gelombang pendek yg sangat berguna dari dulu mulai pengembangan radar, rudal, televisi dll. Microwave yg ada disekitar kita terdapat dalam oven utk pemanas makanan dan ini disebut oven microwave.

Oven microwave terdiri dari beberapa komponen seperti :
- Transformator / Trafo
Terdiri dari kumparan-kumparan yg berfungsi menaikkan energi listrik menjadi tegangan tinggi

Berfungsi mengubah energi listrik tegangan tinggi menjadi gelombang mikro. Gelombang dipancarkan oleh elektron dari katode dan anode yg mengelilingi katode menarik elektron. Elektron terus bergerak diantara magnet dan karena terus menerus berputar maka terjadilah medan magnet

Berfungsi mengarahkan gelombang ke arah dalam, shg tepat pada makanan yg akan dipanaskan

Berfungsi memutar makanan yg akan dipanaskan, dilengkapi oleh piringan shg bisa berputar dan penyebaran panas lebih merata

Berfungsi memperangkap gelombang, sbg penetralisir shg gelombang tidak bocor keluar

Prinsip kerja microwave :
Microwave yg dipancarkan dari magnetron memancar melewati waveguide dan menuju ke makanan, makanan diputar stirrer shg pemanasan lebih merata. Microwave sangat canggih yaitu memantulkan gelombang yg mengenai gelas dan plastik shg gelombang hanya akan mengenai targetnya saja yaitu makanan. Pemanasan dg microwave terjadi pada seluruh bagian makanan dan beda dengan pemanasan dg kompor biasa, yg panas dimulai dari luar baru ke dalam, jadi saat bagian dalam mulai panas bagian luar sudah gosong. Prinsip pemanasan microwave adalah gelombang yg ditransmisikan diserap oleh molekul air yg ada dalam makanan, karena terkena energi molekul air akan bergerak acak shg terjadi tumbukan yg terus menerus, bergesekan dan terjadi panas. Jadi makanan akan matang seluruh bagian.
